"icywing",
Welcome to JavaRanch!

We're pleased to have you here with us in the JSP forum, but there
are a few rules that need to be followed, and one is that proper names are
required. Please take a look at the
JavaRanch Naming Policy and
adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

You can change it here

Also, if you're going to take time to post in response to someone's question, try to actually answer the question.
The original poster was looking for links to tutorials or book suggestions.
Your answer gives neither of these things.

Welcome to JavaRanch!

"icy wing"

Your display name must not be obviously fictitious. You're going to have a hard time convincing us that your real name is Icy Wing.

Be aware that accounts with invalid display names are disabled.

No, "icy wing", your display name has to be a real name. Sure, "Wing" is the surname of a lot of people. Nothing wrong with that part. But I don't think any of those Wings have the first name "Icy". However, if I am wrong and that is really your name, then just tell us moderators so.

"icy wing"

You have previously been warned on multiple occasions regarding adjusting your display name to meet JavaRanch standards. This is not optional, and this is your final warning. Adjust your display name to comply with the required standards prior to your next post.

If you have no official English name, then choose one that is not obviously made up. "icy wing" is obviously phoney and is not acceptable.

Failure to comply will result in the removal of your account.

u can find jsp tutorial here

A few comments about the link you have provided :
1. I can't see anything on Expression Language
2. I can't see anything on Tag Files
3. It's funny that Tomcat is not even mentioned in the "Getting Familiar with your JSP server"

"u" is not a word. Please use only real words such as "you" when posting to the forums.

And I agree with Satou. The linked tutorial is not very complete and is very out of date.
