Hi,

We are having a JSP file which contains the following forward statement:

pageContext.forward("/ContentRetriever?reportLocation=" + reportLocation);

This forwards the control to the servlet ContentRetriever.java. This servlet uses Buffered Input Stream and Buffered Output stream to read and display files. As a result a file should open up. But the following exception is displayed while the file is opening up:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: SRVE0199E: OutputStream already obtained

Is there any way to avoid this exception ?

Thanks,
ankit

Ankit,
Are you writing anything out before the call to forward?
