How Does a Jsp File Gets Compiled

hi..,

can any one please tell me the flow about how the jsp file gets compiled inside a server for the first time when the user request for jsp file..and what are all the api's involved in this process...

How it's done is up to the container makers.
The JSP compiler "Jasper" made by the folks at Apache for Tomcat is also used by several other, well known containers.

If you're interested in seeing how it's done, you might want to grab the source to it or browse its Javadoc API pages.
