Requirement of MBA for further growth in an IT company

Hi folks,

Lately i have been hearing a lot regarding the requirement of MBA for further growth.What is the level a IT professional can reach with out a MBA degree?Project leader?Project manager?CEO( ?

At some companies, you can reach any level without an MBA. At others, you can't even become a line manager without one. Rather than looking at a general problem, you should look at the type of companies/roles you want, in the industry(ies) you want, where you're likely to live in 5/10/20 years and see roughly what percentage require an MBA.

without MBA - upto a Project Leader and above that with MBA.

Project Leader- is more oriented towards co-ordinating team and project management.
above that - is more into interacting with third parties, getting new contracts. I mean more oriented towards business aspects rather development and project management aspects.
