how to retrieve "c#" from response  RSS feed

hi,
In jsp page i have a link which will pass a parameter "skill" and its value is "c#". when i am retrieving that skill from response using request.getParameter("skill"), i am only getting "c" not c#.

how can i retrieving "c#" from response.
please help me..

Did you escape control chars?

there is a link in my jsp page. like
<A href="somePage.jsp?skill=c#"></a>

The '#' character needs to be encoded.

If you're hard coding these links, you'll need to look up the URL encoding for that character. If you're using Java to build the strings, look at java.net.URLEncoder
