I have a JSP appearing with input boxes for the user fill out for a new record. These boxs act as the header data for the record. I have a submit link that fires JSON to write this data to my data file. On the same page I want a table of details for the record, which is empty initially. I have a link to open another form for detail input. When the detail input closes I need the opener to display the new detail added in the table. If I call the reload of the opener the detail shows up but all my header fields are empty. How can I get the table on opener to refresh without the rest of the form losing its initial data?

Never mind, I got it figured out. I just assign session attributes to feed the input boxes of the calling page. They start out as empty strings. When the called page makes request the attributes are assigned values then the calling page is reloaded.

Thanks.
