I have a website running on struts, weblogic and iplanet sun one webserver. I got a new requirement to do from an SEO perspective. The URL in the address bar of my website needs to be always the same irrepective of the page its navigated to. I mean for example it needs to be always www.google.com irrespective of whatever search results are shown in the body. I dont want to use Frames as that would lead to SEO problems. can some one help?

Use http post to send the information to the server and use the post url as something permanent URL. So browser will show the post URL but with latest content from the server.

You will need a Front Controller.

You have a few options, and probably will use a combination of them.

1) All your requests could be post requests to that same URL with a parameter which tells the Front Controller what to do. The Controller does the work then forwards to the proper page

2) Or, your requests may not be post requests, but will contain information about what to do as part of the URL (as a normal operation). The Front Controller takes this information, stores it in the user session, then uses sendRedirect back to the base URL. The FrontController gets a hold of this new request, reads the info from the session (and removes it) and decides what to do next.
