Friends here,

I am going to move to Green Bay, Wisconsin area this month or next month.
Currently, I am in California.

Any information you'd like to share if you know that place well? such as winter climate, schools, job opportunities, cultures, etc.

Thanks.

Green Bay, Wisconsin, a/k/a "The Frozen Tundra". Home of the Cheese Heads.

I just got to know Packers from the relocation book they gave me

The reason I move is to find a place to settle down. Housing is affordable there, and it seems safety is not bad. That's all I know at this moment. I hope some ranchers who live there, or have been there, can help me with more info. I personally know no one there.

You know, it's a big decision.

Wisconsin is just slightly warmer than ThunderBay Ontario, a place I once lived where you find snow in the woods in June.

On the plus side, there are lots of Finns and Swedes, so if you like blondes its your kind of place.

Green Bay is a good place and within easy driving distance of a lot of beautiful places. Have a look at the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Door County if you go.

The down side is that Green Bay probably doesn't have a thriving java job market. The closest would be Milwaukee or Minneapolis, maybe Madison.

Go for it.
