Saving File on Local Machine using JSP  RSS feed

Basically, when the user enters some data on the form and specifies the number of files to be generated, my application has to generate that many number of files and save it in
a specific location on the user's system(client machine) .Any help will be appreciated . Iam using jsp as my front End?

Impossible.

Imagine the security implications if such a thing were allowed.

You can present links to the users that they can click to download the files, but you cannot directly write them to the client without user intervention.

The users are going to be developers who are in the same n/w.
So if they can input their IpAddress will i be able to upload the file to the local machine .

Perhaps you need to explore an alternative such as FTP or a signed applet.
