<html>
<% response.setStatus(302); %>
<jsp:forward page="nextPage.jsp" />
</html>

it seems having the <% response.setStatus(302); %> make it not working. without it, it works. why it fails the forwarding ?

Thanks.

if you want the response status to be part of the response try jsp:include.

Is it like you want the request to be directed to nextPage.jsp??

yes, i want it to be forwarded to nextPage.jsp and make the response code to be 302 for this page. could you be more specific about what syntax I should use to include the status code ?

thanks.
