Hi All,

pageContext is not a map ,it is a Bean Class

i struggling to understand this point

I guess you are referring to EL's implicit objects ? If you look at the JSP specification, at "JSP.2.2.3 Implicit Objects", you'll see that unlike pageScope, requestScope... which are Maps, pageContext is of type javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext. So you can treat the pageContext object like a bean, and call its getters like with any java beans.
