Hi,
I've a using a JDBC-ODBC connection to an Access database which is stored locally. On Windows 98.
If I have the row and column index of a cell selected, how can I retrieve the information in the cell from Access. i.e a string

Get an instance of a Database, then with that get a Connection instance, then with that get a Statment instance. Then put some SQL in the statement, use column names or numbers. ExecuteQuery on that baby and shove the output into a ResultSet. Get the info from the result set by column number, similar to the way Staement works. Simple eh?

Thanks Phil,
I know how to pull a database up using resultset etc..., what I need to do is actually get the string inside the table.
do I use resultset.getstring??
Basically I have a database with a file path inside a cell,I want a user to be able to click the cell and execute a Runtime to a .wav,.mpg etc...
If you have any advice I would appriate it.
Best Regards
Adam
