hi,

can JDBC be used to connect from JAVA to a database through ODBC drivers.
Or do we need any special set of driver files for JAVA to interact with a database?
If so, where can I find JDBC drivers.
I have Oracle, MSAccess databases.
Pls reply me asap.

Hi Sandeep
you may use the JDBC ODBC bridge to overcome the problem.Just use the sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver line in your class.forName method to register the driver and start using the database after getting a connection from the DriverManager.getConnection method .
Also try searching on the sun site .they gove a a list of all drivers that you may find helpful
