How can we print 5 records retrived from the database in case of 10 or more records in database and the user should press on "next" or "prevoius" button at the bottom of the page either to go ahead or to go back.

It seems that CacheRowSet in
Jdbc
2.0 can help if the rows are not large. Some discussion at jguru:
