Hi Folks:

I have around 7 years of work ex in programming.
I have done my graduation in engineering and ever since working in the IT industry. It is a typical J2EE/Oracle background.
My current role is a tech lead/architect.
I wanted to know if I am getting a good deal in my current organization.
I am working in an MNC in Bangalore.
Taking out the variable pay like bonus,my take home salary after all the cuts like PF and tax is 50,000 per month.
Is this a decent salary for my profile?
Any idea what is the maximum I can expect in Bangalore?

50,000/month is perfect. To fetch more, apply for Trilogy,VeriSign,Tavant.I heard they give much more than this.

I think you need to look at the yearly salary and not just the take home figures.. include realistic average bonus and other perks as well

50,000 in isolation looks average figure (that approx makes package of 9)
especially if your company doesn't have a brand value. With 7 yrs of exp and in Blore, I think you can easily command 12 lpa. (Now how much that wld be in take home is for you to calculate)
