5000 insert statements...

hello everyone...
i have a problem , i have 5000 insert statement , hold in a vector , and i can't seem to preform an Statement.executeBatch()
on them.
but the program seems to stop everytime i try to execute them...
does some one have an idea?

Have you checked the database logs? It could be that you are filling the logs or have too many outstanding inserts so you are holding too many system resources.

thx for replying so fast....
actually i have no idea about the logs , but i have a breakthrough :-) i can make an executeBatch , but an exception is thrown ..
SQLException: [Oracle][ODBC Oracle Driver][Oracle OCI]

and i have no idea why , i've tried running the insert command manually it's working fine... any idea?

You should print out the SQL string you're trying to insert, and see if it will execute properly in a SQP*PLUS session.

thx guys , i've figure out what the problem , i'm from israel,
and in hebrew i have a lot of " ' " signs , so it always messed up my SQL statement...
