ResultSet for Update

Hi All,
This might sound stupid but i have to double check.
Is there a way to get a resultset from the Update query??
Please reply ASAP

I think most databases just return a count of # records updated for an Update statement.

executeUpdate always returns an int. If you need a ResultSet then use executeQuery.

Hi,
I don't think you can get a resultSet using update query. Update always returns an int value. I think you will have to use excuteQuery command in order to get the ResultSet
