Data (stored as Object) truncation problem .....  RSS feed

Here is the problem ....
I've stored a HashMap object as LONG RAW type in Oracle DB. I've used PreparedStatements setBinaryStream() method to store the hash map object into the Table and I use the getBytes(int column) to retrieve the object.
Storage and Retrieval of data works fine for size up to 8kb but if the data that is stored exceeds 8kb, it gets stored properly, BUT I am not able to retrieve. It throws EOFException.
1.We use NAS Server and the Driver is ORACLE_OCI.
Are there any size limitations for ORACLE_OCI Driver.
(Personally when I tested using Oracle JDBC thin Drivers, I was able to retrieve the data without any size limitations).
I appreciate your help in this regard.
