Our team is going to be using EJB soon. So, we are kind of tring to understand the concepts involved in EJB architecture.
I belive deployment descriptors are XML files(right?) describing the behaviours of a bean.
How many dd would be there for an application? one per bean? and What is mechanism used to bind the bean and dd?
Could anybody explain this please?

I think i found an answer for this .
Deployment descriptor helps us in specifying various behaiour of a bean (declaraively using XML), Among them these are for a developer.
i) Transaction demarcation info
ii) Whether a bean is Stateless or Stateful (if it is Session bean)
iii) Environment entries (like properties)
iv) Whether the persistance is managed by Bean or Container
v) primary key class if it is entity bean.
v) security roles
There are other DD for a deployer.
