Has any one managed to successfuly install the J2EE RI from Sun. I have installed it but when I try to run the server using 'java -verbose' I get the following message rather than the correct one:

Usage: java [-options] class [args...]
(to execute a class)
or java -jar [-options] jarfile [args...]
(to execute a jar file)
where options include:
-cp -classpath <directories and zip/jar files separated by ;>
set search path for application classes and resources
-D<name>=<value>
set a system property
-verbose[:class|gc|jni]
enable verbose output
-version print product version
-? -help print this help message
Any help is appreciated. I am trying to run the software on an NT box.
Thanks in advance.
Jon.

Hi Jon,
what you need to type is
j2ee [-verbose]
NOT java -verbose j2ee (or whatever).
Hope this helps,
Marc

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
