I mean that how to insert a photo to oracle database and retrive a photo using blob and clob. for example a in student information system we require the photo of the student with other details, which are retrived when required.Hope you understand!

here is the jdbc sample code for LOBS to an Oracle DB(retrieving and inserting)

look for the link "LOB Datatype"
you might have to hit the Swing forum to find out how to display it nicely on the screen.
