One of my friend has been shortlisted for telephony interview of Oracle. Could any body suggest what kind of question they may ask from a QA guy.

Thanks a lot.

There will 2 to 3 rounds of interviews.

1st round will be on core java, servlets, jsp. They may ask some puzzles too, questions on database.

2nd round will be on database, your projects, design related questions.

For 3rd round they will ask you to come their office for another technical round interview and they do ask what ever they asked in last 2 rounds.

And finally they will have HR interview.

Ask him to have :
1. Good communication skills
2. Good test automation skills(any tool)
3. Atleast 1 programming language knowledge like C/Java
4. Atleast 1 database knowledge like Oracle DB.
5. Good overall testing concepts
6. Good problem/puzzles solving logic.

Needless to say these skills cannot be developed overnight, either he has them or he doesn'nt.....Of course, I will never tell you the exact questions I was asked, since I wouldnt want someone less deserving to have an undue advantage.
