hi everybody
I have a relatively very easy looking problem about which i am unable to get any solution.....
Problem goes like this....
I have some unicode characters written in my MS Access table as
\u221A (unicode for squareroot) \u221B \u221C etc . I want to fetch the results from recordset and display them in Jtextarea, as their original glyphs(unicode characters).
But when i do this it shows me the text as \u221A etc in JtextArea. Any help is welcome...
some code ...
JTextArea ta=new JTextArea();
ta.setFont(new Font("Arial Unicode MS", Font.ITALIC, 20));
ta.append("\u221A \u221B \u221A \u2205 ");
if i do this then i get the unicode character glyphs in my text area....
BUT when io try to get the result as
String uniChar= rs.getString("fieldname"); (rs is resultset)
ta.append(uniChar);
it shows me the out put in textarea as such i mean \u221A etc..
thanx in advance....
