Hi all,

I got selected by a company as a Java Developer. Almost everything including the salary was settled. I told them that I could join after four weeks. So I still have to get the contract and tie up some loose ends.

Keeping in mind the job/salary offers I got in the past few months and my current salary, I somehow settled on a lower salary. I got the impression during the interview process that since this company was a startup so it was more interested in hiring fresh graduates. They probably did not want to spend more money on an experienced resource. Since there was no other job offer in hand so I just accepted a lower salary.

Now, I am thinking about renegotiating salary. I dont know how to start this process and what to say in my defense when they say that I had already settled the salary.
