Hi all, Sun has the new version jdk 1.3 kicked out this Summer. Do they still call it Java 2? Or Java 3? Was the jdk 1.1 called Java (1)? How about J2EE? Is it using the jdk 1.2 engine or 1.3? I'm very confused. Any input, pls? -Thanks in advance. JL

Effectively J2EE was developed using Java 2 version 1.2 (basically because that was the latest available version when J2EE was being written). As Java 2 version 1.3 is highly compatible with previous version 1.2 there should be no compatibility problems, as a matter of fact I have tried the Sun J2EE reference implementation and Orion with version 1.3 and it indeed worked (no deep testing though)
