Hi,
I am wondering if anyone tried the review course like princeton/kaplan for GMAT prep. If so, what did you think? Is it worth spending the money? This question is for the folks in US.
Thanks,
Prema

I bought the Kaplan book and found it very useful. Supposedly Veritas is also very good.

Princeton is good for English stuff, Official guide is also good to know what actually comes in the exams. Kaplan has lots of errors from what I heard, but you should have one if you are aiming for gmat.
Try out www.sentencecorrection.com for GMAT related queries, it's a good site.

Thanks for your responses. It is useful info. I work fulltime and I am actually thinking about taking a class room course offered by princeton review/kaplan. It is about $1250.00 It will just be easier to stay motivated if I have to be at a certain place every week for 6 weeks. So, does any one know about the class room review sessions?

Thanks,
Prema

When it comes to prepping for standardized tests, I'm a big fan of the Princeton Review books.

If you take sample exams for practice, use real former exam questions available from the testing agency.

(Some of the prep books contain sample exams with question types and content that do not occur on the real exams. Unless you're using test prep as a way of generally reviewing a topic, why bother studying things that won't be on the test? I'm quite cynical about US standardized tests: I think they're stupid and pointless and I have no issue prepping so specifically for them.)
