ABAP is the starting place where you can start. There are lot of modules(BW, MM, SD) which may require some functional experience to understand betterway. For ex SD module requires some Sales and Distribution experience. When you dont have funcation experience and want to enter in SAP go with ABAP, then based on demand and interest you can jump into other modules like BW which is hot now a days.
In Hyderabad Siemens is the best and I guess it will charge you more.
