I created the entity bean , made a jar file ,including the deploument desdcriptor. I then went to Weblogic and in the applications directory uploaded it. (It created it in my mydomain\application\cabin.jar).....After that i created a database in access called Cabin and obtained a connection to it...My question is how does the container know that this is the database it should refer to(Since configuring the database there was no reference to the cabi.jar)..
2)Also when i create the client application to access the bean ..where and how will it interact with weblogic application...
Can u help me..i am a little confused at this stage

1.) You will need to configure your DB as a data source
in the weblogic.properties file. You can specify database
connection pooling there also. This is how the container
will know the DB.
2.) Your client will use the InitialContext to lookup your
EJB's home and then and you can find or create an EJB ref
and call the methods you have defined in it. If you are
using Haefel, he has this on pg. 178.
