Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum.
I have 3.5 years of experience as SQL-DBA at present working with a MNC in Pune. At present I am working in Testing on SQL Database for 1.5 years now.
I need to shift back to SQL-DBA.

I have 2 offers :
1st one is from CSC (Computer Science Corporation) hyderabad and
2nd on is from Patni COmputers Mumbai.
Salary wise there is a difference of 1 lac (patni is paying less)

What do you all suggest ? Please help ...its very urgent ....

Thanks.
Kevin

Go for CSC. The cost of living is less in Hyderabad so you can save more in Hyderabad than Mumbai. But CSC may not have much onsite opportunities as Patni.

CSS have very less onsite opportunites.

Regarding work culture, I hear from my friends that its good, not much pressure. But they follow 11AM to 8PM shift.

I had a bad experience with them and feel that their HR is unprofessional. After 4 rounds of interview, my consultant told that HR guys are trying to locate my interview feedback papers

After 1 week of blaw blaw she told that I failed to get through the interview. another week passes and HR from CSC directly called me to offer me the position And then I decided not to join them.

Anyone can get a job in todays market in India.
Go for a company where you can get a project, that will make your profile strong enough, when the job market is bad.

But there is no way to know what sort of projects will you be getting. Companies normally don't recruit for a particular project, once people join they decide where to put them.

If you join Adobe(noida),microsoft(hyderabad),oracle india , you can rest assured that it will look good on your resume ,if at all you get out of work, vs joining "patni" or any other shop.

% of employees onsite in CSC would definitely be better than that in Patni, or even in TCS/ Infy/ Wipro.
