Guys,

I was wondering if any of you live in the Washington D.C area and can give me a clue on what salary ranges can be considered a good deal for the area?
I am particulary looking for salary ranges for permanent positions and not contract.

I am Senior Java/J2EE Developer with 6+ years of experience in software development.

  • If your 6 years of experience were in the U.S., full-time paid and verifiable

  • --> $70,000 - $80,000
  • Otherwise,

  • --> $40,000 - $60,000
  • Or, if you are interviewing with bureaucratic corporations, they will simply offer 10% - 15% more than what you're currently making - regardless of your qualification.
