Can anybody guide me regarding Mastek Navi
Mumbai environment,work pressure and managers.
As compare to other big MNC(ACCENTURE, EDS, IBM) how is the salary , I am expecting offer from them , I understand they are going to send me to UK this is what the most exciting thing...!!

I am having more than 6 yrs of expereince in J2EE tech, and presently working with big MNC.

During 2000 period Mastek is very good company. They are down in 2001 and again they are picking up. But 2 of my friends who got recruited for UK project left the company in 6 months period bec they are on bench. One person went to UK and spend around 2 or 3 months. But is a good company.

Mastek is a Mid Level Indian Company.
They are having one relatively big project in UK , but I can assure you it is not guranteed that you will come Onsite for sure.
Moreover, don't expect much J2EE stuff even if you come Onsite(which I think will be for short terms only, as already there is a long queue on bench waiting in Mumbai).
But if you don't get an opportunity Onsite there is not much to do there in Mumbai as no big project in Mumbai.
So think carefully and take your decision. If you are 100% sure you are coming Onsite then only take a decision to join.
Hope this will help you in taking this decision.

They had massive lay off in 2001 and they are in almost closing stage. Now they recovered. Its one of company which affected worstly in India during 2001

You can request Mastek's HR to introduce you to some managers there so that they will give you some idea about projects they are working on.

sometimes, every consultant would have different job offer and contract, so these details maybe you must directly ask mastek, so can be sure

one can get laid off when benched and another may not, depending on your contract
