How can i close a connection to Access97?

hello,
i think, i have a smal problem, but i can't see the solution.
i created a connection to access97, i can read the datas in the tables, but the connection doesn't close.

...
Class.forName ("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
connection = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=" + currentDB);
statement = connection.createStatement();
connection.setAutoCommit(false);
resultset = statement.executeQuery("Select ...");
...
resultset.close();
statement.close();
connection.close();

in line connection.close(); access is sending an error: "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 -Treiber]Ung�ltiger Transaktions-Zustand." (invalid transaction condition)
have i forgotten something?

Hello,
just a suggestion, you set Autocommit to false, maybe you inserted something and forgot to commit?
Try to remove the setAutocommit(false) since it seems that you are only reading data, or try to commit
