When using WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) on my local machine, I'm accessing the JDBC datasource from the JNDI Naming Service (port 900). Where is this JNDI Naming Service coming from? Is it a part of WSAD? Is it a stand-alone product that (such as IBM's Directory Server) that is being installed as part of the installation? Thanks for any insight.... Ben

Hi Ben, JNDI is a service which is managed by websphere Application server. WSAD has built in websphere application Test Environment which manages all the ORB Bootstrap port i.e JNDI look up port 900. Hope this clarifies your doubt. -rajesh
