JDBC: NullPointerException

I have been facing the following error i.e.


could not load JDBC driver: java.lang.NullPointerException


while i try execute my below mentioned program on the explorer.
Please advise me what should I do.

Chances are that the jar containing your JDBC drivers isn't somewhere that the SErvelt Engine can see it. this doesn't necessarily mean the CLASSPATH
Servlet engines ignore the CLASSPATH variable. It allows them to maintain boundaries between the code for different applications running on the same server instance. For example, you may need to put the jar in the [ TOMCAT HOME ]/server/lib directory if you want all applications to see it. Other servers will need other setup.
