Hi All,

I have faced this problem so many times. It's really not a pleasent way to find any rancher's post by it's ID .

Instead of finding any rancher's posts by it's ID. Cann't be it possible to find by their name (And if wildcard options will be available) then it will be really great.

Another way of implementing this is giving a combo box instead of textbox in which user has to enter the rancher's ID for whom he/she is searching.

It will be really very pleasent enough for searching any rancher's posts.

Pls think and if possible then implement this methodology.

That would be a lot of work, and may not give good results. For example, what would you want done if a search found John Smith, John Smith, John Smith, and John Smith Junk (yes, these are four different people).

This is not to say that it wont happen though - it might be something we look at in the new forum software.

Regards, Andrew

I mean to say that, the searching by name is given on google but is this cann't be operatable in Java rancher itself....

Like the way we are searching in Google cann't in the same way we can search the posts of any rancher through their name instead of their Member ID #?

I hope I make my concerns clear ???
if not then revert me back.

Like Andrew said, the software needs to support that, and the one that's currently used doesn't do that. If we migrate to some other software, this might be supported.

Using google also has a big advantage for us: it doesn't create a big load on our server.
