I was curious about how large do commercial apps eploying
EJBs get, in terms of number (the type , entity or session would be a design decision) of beans deployed.

With clustering, the answer is theoretically unlimited. If
you check out some of the app server vendors sites they have
some references for their clients who have very large apps.

Specifically, I was curious about
how big real world EJB applications are . For example, of we were to model one of the SAP modules (SD/MM/PP), how big would a
coarse grained design be ? is there an optimum as per best practice precepts ?
thanks.
