consulting agency

Hi all,

I need help. I recently joined a consulting agency. It is about 2 month ago.

Since I don't have working permit in US, I applied H1 and got it.

The problem is I have not had any chance to get interview( a real interview with a project manager or team leader). Now I am worried if I even get an interview to get a job. Of caurse, I am worried if I can get a job in US.

It's been already one and half month and other guys who have .Net background had a job. I am only a Java developer in the agency. Besides it, there are no difference between whom has a job and me.


What is my problem?
Did I select a wrong comapny?
In that case, can I move another consulting agency?
(Since I got H1 alreadyy, I need H1 transfer)

It is so hard to figure out they tell me truth or not.
One time they say somthing and another time, they simply say opposite and don't remember what they said about it last time.

Ah~~ I just saw below post.

That might my problem. I have 5 years of experience in my country.
I just put it in my resume.
Hiring manager can even see my work at on-line.(though they don't tend to)
Is it really problem?

Although I have done all my work in my country, I need to study more because I was in school for 2 years.

Hmm..

What happen if I appliy for other company?
I don't know even it is possible. The world is always small to me. My agency might know that I am looking for another job before I get it.

Hi,

The market requires experienced guys. how much experience do u have? u can transfer from company to company only if u have atleast two pay cheques from the old company. It is not a problem with ur company. Try this job search
