I'm looking to change jobs. Does anyone know any good salary survey websites that I can use in my research and for negotiation?

Thanks in advance.

Check out Certification Magazine's site at www.certmag.com. You have to sign up to get access to the calculator, but it's free.

Salary.com is the one most people know. Some technology magazine also do annual salary surveys. However I am skeptical of many of these sources as their methods do not meet sampling standards used by many statisticians. At the very least you should try to peer as much as possible into the raw data--often time a market may have a very small number of data samples, making it very unreliable.

Payscale.com also provides a detailed salary analysis. And it also covers other countries like India.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was a tiny ad.
