Hi everybody!
I have a huge problem! I build a connection to a progress DB via the JDBC DBC Bridge and the query takes about 1.5 seconds - which is OK. But when I want to fetch results, it takes about ten minutes and I still get no output. It doesn't even work if I write instead of the System....(r.getString...) System.out.println("Hello");
Does anybody of you have an idea what could be the reason for this or knows any solution? I'm really thankfull for any idea! Beyond are the important parts of my code. Please help me, Klausi
Connection c=DriverManager.getConnection(dbURL, dbUser, dbPass);
Statement s = c.createStatement();
...
while(r.next()){
System.out.println(r.getString("NUMMER")+" "+r.getString("MANDANT"));
}

Well, you actually left out a VERY important part of your code; the SQL Statement to fetch your results.
