I think, it depends on the project, which you are working on.. some prjects demand more than 8 hrs in any compnay..
which company doesnot expect you to work more than 8 hrs, even when it is really required?
If you are expected to work for more than 12 hours for some projects and for some days thats not a problem. But if every project and every day is expected to work more than 8 hours thats a problem rite?
I agree with Mr. Reddy,I have worked on citibank/citigroup projects and have found them very aggressive it was 10-12 hours daily and a lot of hype was there even for small defects . Your manager would keep you in constant pressure and your life would be difficult I suppose it is for any project either in dev/support. So would not suggest ,don't know much about HSBC.
