dealing with BLOBS

can somebody tell me how to deal with the BLOBs using normal
sql statement.there is a method called setBinaryStream() for sending the binary objects in to the database.is there is anything like getBinaryStream() to get the binary objects from the database.pleez elaborate on the issue.

You'll find this forum a great place to seek help on JDBC, and there aren't many rules you'll have to worry about, but one is that proper names are required. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and change your display name to match it.
In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Yes, you can use get/setBinaryStream(), get/setBlob() or get/setBytes(). This is fully described in the API under the PreparedStatement and ResultSet classes.
