This might sound strange. I want to find a job in singapore/Malaysia/India for personal reasons. But I still want to keep my US green card valid. It is allowed in US immigration laws to stay outside the country for extended period if we are working for a US firm.

So, my question is how to get such a job - with a US company who will keep me in its payroll but post me in another country like India, Singapore or Malaysia. I dont mind a smaller pay scale as long as it is in the range of the country I will be working!

Any thoughts Gurus?

-Pat.

Among three countries India has largest American offshore shops.Oracle/Sun/AOL/Honeywell/Yahoo/Google/HP/Microsoft/Sybase/IBM/Unisys are some of them.If you have Green card, assume you got the job here as a manager.

... for a limited period of time under limited circumstances. Check out the N-470 form. Not just any US employer will do.

Cheers!
