Hi everybody.
First I'd like to say that this is a great place for Java beginners and intermediates. I was astounded by the speed and concreteness of the answers you can get here.
On to the topic.
My web application should show a HTML page which consists of records in both Croatian (with the letters č,,ć..) and German (, etc.). The records
are read from the Oracle 9i database and presented on the screen.
The German alphabet works fine, and so do the Croatian letters that were not collected from the DB. But the records that have croatian letters in the DB end up with question marks instead of the actual letters on the HTML page (i.e. novčić turns into nov?i?). It seems that the JDBC driver replaces all those letters with question marks, while leaving the german letters intact...
How can I solve this? Thanks.
