How to use Third Party JDBC Drivers for database access

I have a third party driver that I need to use for a database created on the Mysql Server. My current problem is where to install the driver so I can use it in my apps. If anyone can help me I would suggest.
Alse if anyone can help on how I can configure the Sun Application Server to use this Driver for my dayabase connections.

With web app servers, usually there is a single global lib directory where you can throw your db .jar file into and when the server starts up it will read from this library and pull in the .jar.
As for setting up a connection pool, my guess is that Sun has a help section on their website for this.
