Does anybody know of any books with content(and working code examples) that cover this topic:

JSP + Servlets + JDBC
for example, working code that reads a database table, and displays the info to a user, and has JSP pages that allow for adds, updates, and deletes to the database table?

Or better yet - this topic ==>
Struts + JSP + Servlets + JDBC
for example, working code that reads a database table, and displays the info to a user, and has JSP pages that allow for adds, updates, and deletes to the database table?

thanks,
Keith Thompson

these would make for a good start:

Java Servlet & JSP Cookbook
by Bruce W. Perry

Murach's Java Servlets and JSP
by Andrea Steelman, Joel Murach

JDBC: Practical Guide for Java Programmers
by Gregory Speegle

Java Database Best Practices
by George Reese

... still, sometimes they don't offer completely canned answers but provide a starting point. i still find that there's no substitute for asking questions and learning from people that 'been there done that'.

I'd actually be fairly distrustful of a book that covered JSP, Servlets and JDBC. In (what I would consider) a properly constructed web app, the JDBC should be well hidden behind a UI-agnostic Model API. The fact that JDBC is being used with JSP and Servlets (or even Struts for that matter) should be opaque from the point of view of the UI. (Just as the fact that JSP and Servlets are being used for the UI should be opaque from the point of view of the Model).
