Hi all!!
I am from India...and I had applied for H1 without knowing that it is a Body shopping company which i came to know very very later!!! I dont want to go through them...i have visa interveiw date in a month...Now i would like to know what the visa officer will do if I tell him that due to very personal reasons I am not interested to travel to usa...
Anyone has idea inthis issue?
The company has my passport with them and will give it before the interveiw only...I cant get visa apporval on passport because I had signed a bond with them that If my visa gets approved and I dont go, I will pay them 3k dollars for processing. I want to tell the visa officer that since I have better job in India, I dont want to go to USA. Anyone can throw me light on this issue.

The company has my passport with them

Be responsible. You already signed the bond with them.

Just come to the U.S. with your H-1B and start looking for a job.

With your skill set and technical background, you can easily find high-paying jobs (e.g., $30,000+ salary per year)

1) Get your passport back .
2) Don't pay the body shopper any money .
3) If you want to stay in India don't go for visa interview .

Sounds pretty simple to me. When you get your passport back and are in the Consulate, ask the Visa Officer that you wish to withdraw the visa application without prejudice.

Problem solved.

Cheers!

1.When they ask you to go to the embassy, take your passport and resign.

2.The chances of your getting the stamping done are very low.US Embassy in India are aware of abuse by body shoppers, they now do due-diligence before granting the visa.Google for 221g and you will know what I am talking about.

Hi,
I heard that they will be givin me the passport the night before visa interview day. I would like to know what will happen if I dont go for the interview and give a medical reason to the consulate either through fax. The company has given me all fake documents regarding "products" they develop and told me to tell the visa interview officer that I will be working on their "cutting-edge" products!! Around 5 ppl have already gone through this body shopping firm. I dont want to go and I want to be @ India only. Any more sugestions ?

I guess your bond is only applicable after you joined with them. Still you are not the employee of the firm so you or they can cancel your bond at any time. To collect your bond you can go legal way or just collect your passport and go for stamping or avoid it. This is just my assumption.

If you show medical reasons now, do they will give back your passport? They may ask you to go for stamping on some other date.

Once You are in US no bonds are valid either in US or outside the US territory.

Dont worry Go to your Visa Interview If you get come and find other company.

As far as any legal bond is concerned, forget about it. Labor laws are very strong in US.
