how to get user creatd tables only from databasemetadata in oracle.Please guide me on the same.i use the following syntax for getting the databasemetadata.
String[] names={"TABLE"};
ResultSet rscsv=dbmtdt.getTables(null,"%", "%",names);

Mihir,
You can search by the schema pattern (which is usually the user.) Schema pattern is the second argument.

what are the different values that i can to put in the schema pattern to get the user tables because i get the user tables from db2 by using the code written in the previous message but not in oracle.
