Hi all,

I am using Jbuilder2005, for EJB , but when i want to connect to the database which is SQL SERVER 2000, i will get the error message
" IO exception while talking to the server, java.EOFexception Unable to connect, please check your server's version and availibility".

I am using BEAWeblogic 8.1 as a webserver........so anyone can tell me what should i do now to solve this error.I/ll be very thankful.

Regards,
SALMAN .

Salman,
Welcome to JavaRanch!

That is a generic error that could mean almost anything. Start by checking that you can log into SQL Server from the command line. Then check your ports. If the database is on a different machine, check your network connectivity and ping that machine.
