I'm starting a hunt and would like some input. I have about 2 1/2 years of programming in java and struts exp outside of college. What are people making. I am currently in the mid 50's. Can I do better?

Also, it seems that J2EE/struts is a curse. It is on my resume and everyone wants to talk about those jobs. Are there not any straight programming jobs out there?

Thanks

There are many jobs in Atlanta specially in Alpharetta now. The pay rate for java developers are $40-$55 per hour. Living expense is cheap there so it should be a decent pay.

I'm making half of that

Is $50 an hour for someone with 10 years of exp. or someone with just a few?

If you're on H-1B: $40,000
Otherwise: $50,000 - $60,000
