In my copious amount of free time, I adminster few message boards that use vBulletin software. I have developed few custom UBBCodes in the past (for example:- a [warn] bbcode that prints out the warning message when a member posts obscene picture etc).

Wouldn't it be cool if we have similar custom UBBCodes here in javaranch? Especially one that prints out the following text?

Example:

[warn]Lynette Dawson[/warn]

should print out

and another UBBCode

[name]Ly Da[/name]

should print out

Just out of curiousity, do you have a custom UBBCode for these "warning" messages (or) do you type this message manually every time? (I administer few message boards (that uses vBulletin software) and have written few custom UBBCodes to make my life easy. Just thought of letting you know...)

Or a clippings manager plugin.

You will note that each moderator has his or her own message that they will use in various situatuions, sometimes customized to the particular occasion. I don't think I'd want a standardized message that I cannot personalize.

But thanks for trying to think of ways to make our lives easier!
